Home baking is currently very popular and also great fun. Did you know that with pizza flour you can make some delicious snacks such as cheese biscuits and tarte flambé? And that muffins don’t only have to be sweet, but can also be savory? The secret is to add bruschetta seasoning together with a mix of grated cheese and chili. And then a ready-made mix is also really handy.

Would you prefer something simpler? That’s no problem! Oil & Vinegar has a large range of appetizers such as olives, dips and chutneys, and also toasts and breadsticks for delicious snacks to accompany a drink.

    Dough for the Tarte Flambée and Cheese Cookies:

    • 500 g Farina per Pizza (pizza flour) • 7 g dry yeast • 270 ml water • 1 pinch of salt

    Topping for 2 pieces Tarte Flambée:

    • 100 g crème fraîche • 1 red onion, cut into rings • 50 g Gruyère cheese, raped • Kalamata Olive & Fig Delicacy • walnuts

    Cheese Cookies:

    • 2 el Olive Rub (Mediterranean Herbs Giftset) • 75 g Gruyère cheese, grated

  • Getting started

    Make the dough by kneading all the ingredients together, cover and let it rest for at least an hour at room temperature. Make the cheese cookies by taking 200 g dough and kneading together with the indicated ingredients. Make small balls with the dough and then flatten them. Lay them on a baking tray and sprinkle them with some extra cheese. Bake for 20 min. at 200ºC until cooked.

    Divide the rest of the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll out the dough into a large circle and, to create a Christmas wreath effect, cut a circle out of the middle. Prepare the topping in the order of the ingredients mentioned. Cook for 5-10 minutes at the top of an oven warmed to 250ºC. Serve immediately.

    Step 2

    Savory Muffins:
    Muffin Mix Mamma Mia · 3 eggs · 100 ml Olive Oil for Baking · 120 ml water

    Prepare the muffins according to the instructions on the packaging.

    Hamrolls:
    Make rolls using pieces of Parma ham (total 100 g) and fill them with a small amount of rocket, a teaspoon of cream cheese and some Kalamata Olive & Fig Delicacy. Roll up tightly.

    Tip

    The Cheese Cookies and Savory Muffins are delicious with the Chutney Giftset Perfect for Cheese and a dip made from crème fraîche with 3 tbsp Muhammara Dip. Serve all the snacks together with the Aceitunas Trio Verde and Aceitunas Cuquillo (trio of green olives or black pitted olives).
