Gin as vinegar?! This Gin Vinegar was developed exclusively for Oil & Vinegar. The taste is mildly spicy and sweet and sour thanks to the base of white wine vinegar. As with alcoholic gin, Gin Vinegar also has a spicy smell. You will recognize a mix of winter herbs, such as cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla and chai.
Delicious in a salad with cucumber! The tastiest dressing is made with our Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Lemon. The fresh flavours reinforce each other. Those who prefer not to drink alcohol during the festive season can still enjoy a particularly tasty (alcohol-free) Gin & Tonic mocktail thanks to this Gin Vinegar. You can make the drink by simply combining this fresh Gin vinegar with tonic. For a festive touch, finish it off by adding fresh raspberries or cucumber and Oil & Vinegar pink pepper berries.
But also a ceviche becomes extra festive with this Gin vinegar! Ceviche is originally fish cooked in citrus acid, but that is also possible with the acidity of this vinegar. The acid acts on the proteins in the fish and makes them opaque and firm. The taste and structure is then much more delicate than that of cooked or fried fish. Eating out at home has never been so much fun and surprising!
Or why not increase the surprise effect of the evening by giving the traditional - and oh so delicious - prawn cocktail a twist with a dash of Gin vinegar?
