The claim of making the first hamburger comes from all corners of America to Germany. There is more certainty about the name which comes from the German City of Hamburg. The first mentions of the hamburger go back to 1885, so it’s a real classic! For this recipe, we make mini burgers in three totally different flavors.

There is something for everyone and they are small enough that you can try them all!

  • Groceries

    for 3 mini burgers each person

    • 1 kilo beef • 3 shallots, finely chopped • 3 eggs • 6 slices of bread without crusts • salt • pepper • 24 small sandwiches + lettuce

    Extra needed: Burger press

    Smoky
    Meat herbs: • 1 el Australian Bush Mix • 1 el Smoky Grill Sauce
    Topping: • Smoky Grill SauceGreen Burger Salsa • bacon, crispy fried.

    Italian
    Meat herbs: • 1 el Pesto alla Genovese • 1 el Ketch’Up d’Espelette
    Tip: Add some extra bread if the mixture is too wet.
    Topping: • mozzarella • Pomodoro della Mamma (Sun-dried tomatoes) • Ketch’Up d’Espelette

    French
    Meat herbs: • 1 el Dipper Formaggio
    Topping: • brie • onion rings, baked with 1 el Mélange de France

  • Getting started

    Grind the bread and the shallot finely in a food processor. Mix with the minced meat and egg in a bowl and divide the chopped into 3 equal parts. Add the herbs of the desired citizens.

    Step 2

    Form the citizens with the Citizen Press mini, put them cool off and in the meantime the toppings prepared for. Cook the burgers on the barbecue or in a Grill Pan until tender in ± 5 min.

    Step 3

    Serve the burgers on a small sandwiches with the lettuce and the 3 toppings.
