This fragrant Maghreb Rub has a slightly smoky flavor due to the addition of ground coffee beans. This particular ingredient gives the rub a unique flavor and the sugar, salt and spices balance this Maghreb Rub perfectly into a delicious seasoning for all your different types of meat. The term ‘rub’ means rubbing, and that is what you do: you rub the seasoning into the meat, so the flavors will be massaged into the meat. This tasty blend of spices is also very suitable for poultry, crustaceans and shellfish.

This seasoning with Moroccan influences can not only be used as a rub. The seasoning can also be used in combination with olive oil and honey, this way you can use the seasoning to glaze, for example, your spareribs. The Maghreb Rub can also be combined with butter. To make herbal butter, you only have to add 2 tablespoons of rub to 125 grams of soft butter. Keep the butter in the cling film and put it in the fridge. Then you can serve it in bits over your roasted meat.
